Honestly, I liked this hotel. After reading the reviews, I was pretty apprehensive about my stay. However, I ended up having a great experience overall. A lot of reviews mention that there was no fridge in the room - there was definitely a mini fridge but it was built into a dresser drawer. You have to pull it out. I don’t really ever have a microwave in a 4/5 star hotel, so I’m not sure why that is such a big complaint. As far as the staff, I would agree that they can come across as uninterested, but if you treat them with kindness they’re totally warm. The people saying they had nothing but poor customer service… it’s probably your attitude. I really only had one negative staff experience at check in, but she let me check in super early so it kind of balanced itself out. The room service is egregiously overpriced so I’d recommend just ordering DoorDash. The location was amazing - you could walk anywhere and there’s also a shuttle that’ll take you to most of the spots downtown. It’s worth staying in for the breakfast though, that was super good. The only suggestion I have is for the check in staff to give more information. Example: what time does breakfast end each day, what benefits are included with your stay (Hilton Honors, Hotel Collection etc.), directions to the elevator, like anything would’ve helped. I was just handed my room keys and felt like I was dumb for having questions Anyway, I’ll stay here again when I come back in the summer.

My room was clean! I thought it was fancy. Drinks by ms jasmine were awesome and the greetings on Jan 14th around 5ish pm my ms Marisol’s and the two gentlemen helping everyone check into the hotel were BEYOND personal and welcoming. The entire staff looked sharp! 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend

From check-in to checkout, the whole team just had great energy. The front desk folks were funny, laid-back, and actually seemed to enjoy helping people. The baristas downstairs kept the mornings smooth with good coffee and even better conversation, and the bartender at night kept the vibe going with solid drinks and easy hospitality. Then there’s Rosie. We got to talking one morning and she ended up recommending a local Japanese steakhouse for dinner. I took her up on it, and it blew me and my friends away. Hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time—and that’s all thanks to her. I’d come back to the C. Baldwin because of her and the rest of that team. Great spot, great service, great stay.

I recently stayed at the C. Baldwin Hotel Houston for New Year’s Eve and had such a great experience that I returned for the MLK holiday weekend for a three-night stay with a group of friends—and once again, the hotel exceeded expectations. From check-in to check-out, the service was absolutely amazing. The front desk staff and valet team were pleasant, welcoming, and professional, and the food was great, as always. I also loved the newly implemented wine hour—such a fantastic addition to an already wonderful experience. A special shoutout to Darius, who was incredibly welcoming and made sure all of our needs were met throughout our stay. His hospitality truly stood out and made our visit even more enjoyable. I will definitely continue to be a loyal customer of the C. Baldwin Hotel. 10/10 recommend—can’t wait to return!

My husband and I traveled to Houston for the first time this MLK weekend. Choosing to stay here was the highlight of our stay. As soon as we arrived all the staff from the vallet to the front desk were welcoming. Our room had an issue so we told the front desk and we were immediately switched and received a free cheese board. All of this was executed so flawlessly by Jabori and Marysol. These two were a pleasure to meet. So friendly and so welcoming. We would stay here again just because of them two alone. The free Tesla shuttle is a plus because the location is perfect and close to everything you need. Highly reccomend!

Our weekend stay was wonderful! Check-in was smooth, the room was clean and comfortable, and checkout was just as easy. We loved the extra touches complimentary water in the lobby and candy for guests were such a nice surprise! We also checked out the bar, and OMG!!! The food was amazing! DJ was welcoming, professional, and attentive throughout our visit. He ensured our food was delivered promptly and checked on us to make sure everything was perfect. Excellent service and an overall outstanding experience! We will definitely be back for our anniversary. Thank you C. Baldwin!

C. Baldwin by Hilton was made perfect by the staff. Kayla should be a manager (promote ahead of peers) because she held it down, it's unfortunate she only works overnights. Kayla was able to upgrade our room, explain our credit, parking situation, among other things. All that in 10 minutes before here shift ended, and even stayed back to ensure we were set! The person who checked us in didn't explain much. Thank you K! The hotel is located in a centralized area closed to everything. Valet was on point with our vehicle too. The view was wonderful from there 19th floor. Amazing experience for my wives birthday!

Hotel is in a fantastic location. Quick access to everything we needed. The shuttle service and valet service were very convenient and accommodating. Breakfast was very good in the morning. At night the bartender refused to pour draft beers, so that's the 4 star in service. Room was clean and little cold at 72* we raised it to 75* but very comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel.
